From the western Sichuan plateau to Chengdu, a relay of compassion has brought hope to bloom. Maxwell has utilized its professional expertise to fulfil the dream of a ‘complete face’ for children in Ganzi, Sichuan, embodying the founding principle of ‘technology for good’.
11th August: Restoring Faces in the Snowy Realm · Charity in Action | Travelling Thousands of Miles to Bring Hope to Two Tibetan Children
In August’s Ganzi, Sichuan, the highland breeze brought coolness yet could not halt the warm footsteps. Professor Wang Jing, Chairman of Maxwell, led the team on a dedicated journey to Ganzi Prefecture to provide bespoke charitable prosthetic nose services for local children in need.
On-site, the team patiently communicated with the children, meticulously gathering facial data—from skin tone and texture to nasal contours, no detail was overlooked. Considering the children’s unique requirements, the team abandoned standardized procedures, employing Maxwell’s proprietary AI digital modelling technology to complete preliminary data processing. This ensured the subsequent prosthetic noses would precisely fit the children’s faces, balancing aesthetic appeal with wearing comfort. ‘A child’s smile is the most precious thing. Our mission is to use technology to help them regain their confidence,’ said Wang Jing, moving the parents present.

15 September: ‘Reborn Noses’ Light Up Smiles
After over a month of meticulous crafting and iterative adjustments, Maxwell technicians reunited with the children in Chengdu on 15 September for the prosthetic nose delivery and fitting. Professor Wang Hang, President of the Chengdu Medical Aesthetics Industry Association, participated throughout the event and provided strong support for this charitable initiative.
Technicians meticulously fitted the prosthetic nose, adjusting its position and checking its fit with gentle yet expert precision. As the prosthesis settled securely against the child’s face, their eyes lit up upon seeing their reflection. Parents nearby were moved to tears, clasping the technicians’ hands in repeated gratitude.
From data collection to final delivery, the Maxwell team undertook the entire process public welfare expenditure. Not only were all customization fees waived, but their exceptional expertise ensured the prosthetic nose achieved both ‘natural appearance’ and ‘comfort’ – employing medical-grade materials that are safe and skin-friendly, tailored to the child’s developmental characteristics. The highly realistic skin tone and texture make the prosthesis virtually indistinguishable in everyday settings.
