In August, the Jiadougou Valley blooms with Gesang flowers. At the Yangge Township Health Centre in Serta County, Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, a thousand-mile-spanning initiative titled ‘Snow-land “Restoration” of Complexion · Charity in Action’ unfolds with heartwarming dedication. Two young patients, whose noses had been partially bitten off by a weasel, arrived early at the event with their parents to express their gratitude. They presented Wang Jing and her team with pure white votive scarves as tokens of their appreciation.

‘The villagers are incredibly warm-hearted. Though we couldn’t communicate verbally, I felt their profound sincerity and affection. Receiving each pure white votive scarves made me realize we must strive harder—there remains much work to be done!’ Chairman Wang Jing remarked, noting that all their efforts found tangible meaning in that moment.

Located on the Tibetan Plateau with an average elevation of 4,127 meters, Serta County faces relatively scarce medical resources. Ten-year-old Zhuoma and fourteen-year-old Lamu (pseudonyms), whose noses were lost in weasel attacks during infancy, have long been unable to undergo reconstructive surgery due to financial hardship and limited medical technology. This has severely impacted their quality of life and psychological well-being. To restore their healthy appearance, alleviate family burdens, and rebuild their confidence for a brighter future, Maxwell Company partnered with the Shaanxi Red Cross Foundation and Xu Jipeng—Deputy Director and Secretary-General of the Sichuan Provincial Environmental and Resource Committee of the Jiusan Society, Deputy Secretary-General of the Sichuan Youth Federation, and Chairman of Zhonghe Qing Shan Toilet Technology (Sichuan) Co., Ltd.—to launch the “Snow-land “Restoration” of Appearance · Public Welfare Partnership” initiative. The team travelled to Serta County to donate prosthetic noses to Zhuoma and Lamu. As the children grow into adulthood, all necessary replacements will be provided free of charge throughout their development, safeguarding their healthy growth.

This initiative not only provided complimentary reconstructive solutions for the two patients but also forged a collaborative charitable bridge through tangible action. Authoritative media outlets such as Xinhua News Agency and Guangming Online have previously covered Maxwell’s philanthropic endeavors. This Serta campaign reaffirms that technology transcends mere innovation—it becomes a force that illuminates lives.

The winds of the snow-capped plateau cannot disperse the warmth of philanthropy; the light in the patients’ eyes is the finest reward for this endeavour. Shaanxi Maxwell Medical Technology Co., Ltd. will continue to harness technology as its wings, uniting with more philanthropic forces to focus on organ-deficient groups, bringing ‘precision restoration’ to more corners in need. In the future, we look forward to continuing this journey with you, allowing love and hope to take root and flourish in more places!
